Q: What is the difference between the American Physical Therapy Association and the New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (NJSBPTA)?

A: The American Physical Therapy Association of New Jersey (APTANJ) promotes the integrity and excellence of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants through the coordination of advocacy, education, and resources to be responsive to and serve the membership and community. While NJSBPTA is responsible for the regulation of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in New Jersey.

Q: Where can I become a member or renew my membership?

A: On the national APTA website. APTANJ will download data from the national site every month to keep New Jersey membership records updated.
