After nearly twelve years of working to support the APTANJ, the physical therapy profession and members across this state, Executive Director, Daniel Klim announced to the Council of Directors that he is moving on to pursue new challenges. He will be stepping down at the end of 2024/beginning of 2025.

“It has been a true honor and privilege to serve this association for so many years and to contribute to raising the profile of the physical therapy profession in New Jersey,” said Klim.

Daniel has led numerous initiatives to advance the physical therapy profession in New Jersey. Under his leadership, APTANJ has successfully advocated for important legislative changes, expanded access to physical therapy services, and enhanced public awareness of the profession. He has worked tirelessly with stakeholders throughout the state to bring about an updated practice act, dry needling, the interstate compact, and other legislative improvements to our practice and businesses.

Klim has also championed collaborative efforts with healthcare organizations, fostered professional development opportunities for PTs and PTAs, and strengthened APTANJ's role as a vital resource for physical therapy professionals across the state. His contributions have significantly impacted both the profession and the quality of care for New Jersey residents.

"It is bittersweet to lose an important part of our Association. Dan has been a vital part of our growth and success for over a decade,” said APTANJ President, Megan Gardner. “But he leaves us in a much more stable position than we were in, which is a testament to his character and skills. He will be missed!"

A committee has been formed to select the next Executive Director, and the search is now underway.
