Anthony Falco, PT, DPT stepped onto the flag football field with Team APTANJ earlier this year for the Eric LeGrand Flag Football Tournament at Rutgers University and made an immediate impact to help the team.

The former Moravian College running back also stepped into the physical therapy profession in New Jersey and made an immediate impact on the APTANJ which is why he is being honored as the 2018 Rising Star Young Professional Award recipient. He will receive the award at APTANJ’s Awards & Honors Program on Saturday, October 6 at 6 pm at the Ramada Plaza Conference Center in Monroe, NJ.

Since graduating from Thomas Jefferson University with his DPT in 2013, Anthony has had constant involvement in the APTANJ. Until recently, he had served as the Northern District vice chair. Anthony is currently a member of the NJ Delegation to the APTA House of Delegates and was elected to serve a two-year term as the Northern District representative on the APTANJ Nominating Committee. He also chaired APTANJ’s marketing task force earlier this year and has taken an active role in leadership events hosted by the organization.

A continuous learner, Anthony is a graduate of Evidence In Motion’s Orthopedic Residency Program and is planning to pursue his fellowship in manual therapy through EIM.

The future for physical therapy in New Jersey is certainly bright with physical therapists like Anthony helping to advance the profession.
