How Can We Solve Physical Therapist Burnout?

Burnout is a pervasive condition that affects healthcare providers of all levels. While much research has been done on physicians and nurses, there has been very little research on physical therapists. This presentation discusses the history of physical therapist burnout research in the context of healthcare burnout, as well as internal vs. external factors that can lead to burnout, including presenters own research on workplace conditions leading to PT burnout. Will conclude with a discussion of "resilience training" and the challenges for employers to make necessary changes to improve conditions for their employees.
