Yoga for Pelvic Health:  An Evidence-Based Approach

presented by Dustienne Miller PT, MS, WCS, CYT

(1.5 CEs)

Are you looking for a way to include yoga for pelvic health in your current clinical practice? Join physical therapist Dustienne Miller in this evidence-based webinar.

Learn how to integrate and coordinate the breath and pelvic floor muscles in yoga postures to increase awareness and patient specific goals (core strength vs downtraining the nervous system). Apply this knowledge to your home practice, in the clinic, and across the care continuum.

Material presented will be applicable to physical therapist and physical therapy assistants in all specialties, as we will discuss components of core stability, why breath work is valuable, how to cue the pelvic floor muscles, and gentle yoga postures. This educational session will provide updates on recent research on using yoga as an additional treatment modality for those with endometriosis, fibromyalgia, PCOS, IBS, pelvic pain, and urinary incontinence.

Link to participate will be emailed to registrants prior to presentation date.

This presentation is offered as a live event only.
