The 3 D's in PT Practice: Dementia, Delirium and Depression

presented by Cathy H. Ciolek, PT, DPT, FAPTA

(2 CEs)

The challenge for physical therapy in any setting, is that there is significant overlap in the presentations of dementia, delirium and depression in older adults. Accurate history taking, medical review and assessment is required to help differentiate the possible cause of cognitive changes in the older adults that may be further complicated by communication difficulties. This course will address the similarities and differences in clinical etiology, presentation and assessment of dementia, delirium and depression.  Strategies to improve clinical engagement of people with cognitive and mental health issues will be discussed that can be implemented immediately in clinical practice.

Link to participate will be emailed to registrants prior to presentation date.

This presentation is offered as a live event only.
